Search within a page with Control+F
If you
hold down the control (Ctrl) key, and tap the“F” key, a small window will popup
that allows you to search the page that you are on for selected text!

Note that you can select “up”
or “down.” If you select “up,” it will
begin searching from the current spot and continue searching until it gets back
to the beginning of the document. If
you select “down,” it will search until it gets to the end of the document.
NOTE: This works in the current frame (window) only.
I HIGHLY encourage you to memorize each of these shortcuts! They will make your Web-Surfing much more pleasant and efficient!

To delete
temporary files: Go to the “Tools” menu and select “Internet Options.” Look near the middle of the page and select “Delete
Files.” This may take awhile!
3. Get a faster
computer. While this will
not speed up downloading of files, it will increase the speed by which your
computer processes these files! Jumping
from a 486 computer to a Pentium may speed up page loading as much as 10 times
the original speed!
Using Bookmarks (“Favorites”) in Internet Explorer
To tell Internet Explorer to remember a Website, you can add it to
your favorites. There are two ways to
do so:
1.
Right click on a link and select “Add to Favorites”
2.
Alternatively, go to the “Favorites” menu and select “Add to
Favorites.”

NOTE: you have to click “Create In” to get
the window to expand to this size! You
can then organize your favorites into folders.
Click “New Folder” to make a new folder. You can rename the folder at a later time by highlighting the
folder and hitting F2.
